Travis Nutter is a graduate of the University of California Berkeley and an accomplished track and field athlete, having been a member of the 2004 Olympic team and an alternate for the 2008 Olympic team in the hammer throw event. After retiring from athletics, Travis formed his own business, Golden Bear Cabinetry, which was known throughout the Bay Area for exceptional quality, high-end, custom cabinetry. Travis grew Golden Bear Cabinetry to $3M in annual revenue prior to transitioning into large-scale manufacturing as Plant Manager at Friant and Associates and Assistant Operations Manager at Precision Cabinetry and Design, where he transitioned the enterprise from cabinet ware to cabinet vision, improving manufacturing efficiency. Travis brings an advanced understanding of cabinet manufacturing, coupled with the business savvy that can come only from building a successful business.
Oscar is a Manufacturing Engineer with over 10 years of experience. With a degree in Industrial Engineering, he brings vast knowledge of Lean and continuous improvement. He first started his career in the plastic injection molding world as a Project Engineer. Recently, he’s worked with one of the top contract manufacturing companies in the Bay Area as and Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer, where he was able to move up the ranks into a Manufacturing Engineering Manager role. This role highlighted the importance of adopting standardized and systems-driven processes to deliver and exceed production goals and objectives. At Barbosa, Oscar is responsible to develop, improve, and provide engineered solutions across the manufacturing space. He is a firm believer that if we can put people in the moon, motor vehicles in Mars, and Roadsters floating through space: anything is possible.
Bill brings with him decades of manufacturing leadership experience within the aerospace industry running plants, people and processes very similar to the operational processes used in the cabinet industry. Bill is married and has two adult children. He and his wife are experiencing what it means to be empty nesters. Amongst his many past times he enjoys fishing, the outdoors, RV camping, RC planes and cars, and most importantly Bill is an avid woodworker. On the professional side, Bill is an experienced senior level executive with a proven track record of executing corporate objectives and hitting productivity goals and metrics through maximizing revenue, operating efficiencies and sound manufacturing processes. Bill’s expertise in operational management is evident in his use of Lean, 6S, coaching, leadership and team building. Bill’s in-depth knowledge of ERP, MRP, and Kanban implementations will be vital in the expansion of our manufacturing and operational objectives. Bill enjoys building teams to be successful regardless of the task. He finds gratification in seeing people take on new challenges and meeting operational goals. Bill, welcome to the Barbosa family.
Lea Hoeke has over 10 years of work experience in the home building industry. She takes pride in establishing and maintaining solid relationships with her builders. Lea and her family recently moved from the Bay Area to Folsom. During her down time, she enjoys spending time with her children, exercise, cooking, being outdoors and creating lifelong memories.
