Steven has served as CEO since rejoining Barbosa in May of 2016, with more than 20 years’ experience in the cabinet, countertop, residential and commercial building segments. Steven has lead companies of various sizes from a regional presence to those listed on the Fortune 100, holding positions with regional responsibility as well as national to include North America responsibility.
Steven has been described as a “natural” resource manager who has the ability to coordinate and assemble the facts to diffuse and resolve almost any situation. His tireless investment to understand the markets and customers in which the business serves allows him to develop and execute strategic plans across all business functions. This has resulted in profitable growth and efficiencies which are directly reflected year over year to the bottom line. He has a strong desire for standardization and passion for the Company that is second to none. Steven is a proven asset with a tenacity for perfection and never settle attitude.
Vice President Operations
Jonathan, while relatively new to the Company, was sought out by BCI’s CEO, Steven Stine. Jonathan has spent his entire career working in the architectural millwork arena, either directly or indirectly. With a degree in Information Systems Management, Jonathan brings a unique and most valuable skill set to an otherwise unsophisticated industry. Jonathan likes to say, “The 1s and 0s (the data) are more important than the sawdust.”
Jonathan is a disciplined, process-driven, change management professional committed to excellence with a keen understanding of customer expectations. One of Jonathan’s many responsibilities is the “customer experience,” with an emphasis on any department that is customer facing. Jonathan has been a featured speaker at numerous national industry events and was recognized as one of Wood Industry’s 40-under-40 in 2017.
Human Resources|Business Administration Manager
Barbara was recruited by BCI’s CEO Steven Stine. With more than a decade of dedicated Human Resources experience, Barbara brings a unique blend of skills to the position. Having a passion for the construction/manufacturing space and those who work in it, Barbara has the ability to balance the employee/employer relationship with full understanding that there must be common ground. Barbara carries the full complement of accreditations both state and national to include PHR, SHRM-CP and PHRca. Additionally, Barbara runs point on a number of business related activities to include all lines of insurance, workers’ compensation, construction defect claims and contracts.
Juergen, whose experience spans almost 40 years, has spent his entire career in the woodworking industry. Being born and raised in Germany, Juergen’s formal education and subsequent graduation from Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Holztechnik in Germany prepared him to excel in the ever-changing dynamics of the Engineering and Woodworking world. As a true engineer, Juergen has been tasked with constantly improving our engineering and manufacturing processes and capabilities. Currently, Juergen is creating an implementation plan to support the new manufacturing processes and new work cell integration.
Michael is a seasoned controller with 20 plus years of experience managing accounting operations and providing financial leadership specifically within the manufacturing sector. Holding an MBA in Accounting and Business Administration, Michael is highly proficient in all areas of corporate and cost accounting. Michael has effectively fostered close working relationships with internal and external customers alike to ensure strong, accurate financial performance and reporting while building a cohesive team to support the organization.
Mark began his career in the United States Navy as an Aviation Structure Mechanic. Following his service and Honorable Discharge from the United States Navy, Mark brought his education and experience to BCI and quickly became Maintenance Manager.
Mark has oversite of 2 separate facilities totaling more than 375,000 square feet. He is responsible for the mechanical systems, all related manufacturing equipment, and the company fleet of more than 80 vehicles. The cornerstone of BCI’s success stems from the high level of commitment by Mark and his team to insure there is no interruption in the manufacturing process.
Spencer is a detail oriented and highly organized individual with more than 20 years of experience as BCI’s Purchasing Manager. Spencer is recognized as a wood industry expert and routinely travels to timber mills and solid wood suppliers to develop quality specifications and standards for BCI, some of which are proprietary and have been in place for more than a decade. Spencer has spent his career building long lasting relationships with manufacturers, suppliers and industry experts alike. Leveraging these relationships, Spencer has been able to maintain preferred pricing, while insuring quality and on time delivery.
As the newest member to join BCI’s Management Team, Brandon has a natural interest in engineering and the associated software that drives it. At an early age, Brandon worked in an architectural millwork shop developing an appreciation for all things wood, it did not take long to marry his interests in both these disciplines. Brandon would be described as a Cabinet Vision Expert who has developed and continues to develop his own code to maximize the capabilities of the software as well as integrate it with other platforms and technologies. Brandon will play a key role in BCI’s evolution and quest to continually strive for excellence.
